ALL ABOUT MY PUPILS

This september I have started to teach in one of our schools located in a small village called SORZANO. We have just seven pupils there and I go three days a week to teach them English. Their names are Cristina, Marian, Ivo, José, Youssra, Borja and Rahal. Cristina came form Romania, Marian from Bulgaria, Ivo and José are from Portugal, Youssra and Rahal from Morocco and Borja from Sorzano (Spain). It´s really an interesting group and I enjoy a lot with them.

I have been thinking about the blog and I have decided to post vocabulary games, on-line activities, stories …. related to topics and grammar they learn from the text books.

I will write in English or Spanish depending the instructions I will give to my pupils.

After a year away from my blogs, I´m ready to start with new projects. I´m still working in CRA Moncalvill o and I would like to share with you, teachers, and with my pupils all the experiences teaching English and Art during this school year 2008-2009. I was posting during two years in my blog The English e-corner with Blogspot, but I had some technical problems that I couldn´t solve, so I tried to import everything from there to this new blog; I´m on the way yet!!

Hi children!

I´m sure you feel really happy with your holidays. Probably you are in the swimming pool now, riding a bike, running in Peñueco, reading a book or …playing with your Play Station or computer. I wish you a wonderful summer time. Remember you can enjoy your time reading books too and singing Lemon Tree the song we listened last week from Isabel Perez´s Blog. By the way, thanks Isabel and happy holidays too!!

END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR

On Friday 22nd was the last day of school. The day before we celebrated a festival in Viguera with all our pupils from the five villages. We spent a wonderful time there! . On friday I went just with my pupils to a marvellous place near the village and we improvised an open air theatre to perform the play The Lion and the Mouse

ENGLISH CULTURAL WEEK

Finally, during this cultural week our pupils have been working on different topics and subjects in relation with the English life and culture, such as: sports, festivals, famous people, weather, currancy, London…They have been working in groups in the different schools: Viguera, Medrano and Entrena. Here you can have a look to some projects they made with my colleagues Ana de La Hera and Sergio Nevot and with me.
